The course is designed to provide young people ages 11-15 who plan to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills in their babysitting business and keep themselves and others safe. There are no prerequisites for the course. Participants will receive Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificates valid for 2 years and a Babysitter’s Certificate from the American Red Cross.
First Aid training is primarily received through the American Red Cross, the National Safety Council (NSC), and private institutions. The American Red Cross and NSC offer standard and advanced first aid courses. Upon completing the course, participants will receive Adult CPR and First Aid certificates.
